The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences has recognized our collaboration with OceanX for the 30th Annual Webby Awards. The platform is a Webby Nominee within the Websites & Mobile Sites – Science category, a designation indicating placement in the top 11% of over 13,000 international submissions.
Supported as a part of Dalio Philanthropies, OceanX operates at the intersection of science, media, and education. The organization connects deep-sea exploration findings with global audiences, bridging the gap between researchers in the field and the broader public. Working across these three distinct pillars necessitates a clear and organized digital infrastructure.
Their physical operations are anchored by the OceanXplorer, a highly advanced marine research vessel equipped with deep-diving submersibles, dedicated scientific laboratories, and professional broadcasting studios. This capability allows them to share environmental findings worldwide, highlighted by OceanXplorers, the National Geographic television series produced alongside James Cameron and BBC Studios. Bridging the gap between active researchers in the field and the broader public across these distinct pillars necessitates a clear and organized digital infrastructure.
Our involvement centered on translating their organizational objectives into a logical user journey and functional platform, applying our capabilities across Digital Strategy Consulting, UX/UI Design, and Web Design & Development.

To address the specific requirements of marine biologists, educators, and everyday users, our engineering approach focused on practical execution. The site was built to accommodate large-scale video files alongside detailed environmental datasets, ensuring reliable load times and accessible navigation for a diverse, global audience. This recognition, following the platform's recent selection as an Anthem Awards Finalist for Digital Experience in Sustainability, aligns directly with our core mission to maximize utility. By structuring complex scientific concepts into accessible, functional formats, the platform helps OceanX advance its environmental objectives. We value our ongoing collaboration within the Nonprofit & Social Impact space and invite you to review similar initiatives across our Work portfolio.
